4th October

It is exactly one year today since I first heard my diagnosis with colon cancer on 4th October 2006. What a roller coaster of a year it has been. If we had known on that morning a year ago what was was about to happen we would never have believed that we could possibly get through the next year. Yet here we are and praising God because although it has been tough, emotional, painful and sometimes very, very hard; looking back we have so many things to be thankful for.

Thank you
  • For the fact that I am still here one year on
  • For being the recipients of so much loving kindness, support and generosity
  • For our wonderful family
  • For all our friends far and near
  • For Raynes Park Community Church, the wider Salvation Army and many other churches and Christian friends
  • For the lovely people I have met, fellow patients and medical staff
  • For the high quality medical care I have received
  • For God's faithfulness

None of us knows what the future holds, but what this year has taught us is that we can say: 'The Lord has helped us all the way' 1 Samuel 7:12

God is good!

With love,

Nicola

We have so valued the opportunity to journey with you in this last year and have been challenged, blessed and so much more through what you have shared, and allowed us to be part of. Friends like the Garnham family matter, and we are surely thankful to God that our paths crossed back in 1996 and the opportunity to keep our friendship alive and growing in these days too, and indeed since. With loads of love and hugs

Ian, Sue, Grace, Adam, Hope
