Nicola's News
Hi Friends,As many of you know I had an appointment with the consultant oncologist at Charing Cross this afternoon.
He didn't really have any shocks for us, we already knew that the cancer has spread. The way it grew so suddenly and rapidly in the ovaries took everyone by surprise as all my previous scans, blood tests etc had indicated that I was responding well to the chemotherapy. The CT scan I had last week shows that the liver tumours are active again since stopping the chemo but I still have plenty of healthy liver left.
I am going to start on a slightly different chemotherapy regime soon. Dr. Lowdell has suggested that it would be a good idea to take a couple more weeks to recover fully from the surgery and to have a break from chemo before starting again.
So we are going to make the most of the next couple of weeks, I'll enjoy eating (everything tastes wonderful now that I'm not having chemicals pumped into me), not having to go to the hospital so often, and making the most of the lovely weather we are having at the moment.
I am actually feeling very well, am able to walk further (and faster) every day and slowly putting on some weight.
The family are all well and we are loving the fact that all 6 of us are at home at the moment. We're making the most of every day and thanking God for his blessings.
Thank you for your prayers.
Much love,
Nicola

Hi Nicola and all the Garnhams, just to say we are still thinking and praying for you all here in Brighton. The line from a Brenton Brown song "like the angels" comes to mind he just sings "Jesus my strength when all is gone" I pray that this will be your on your lips in the hardest and best of times. Your joy is an inspiration.
Lots of Love and affection
Katy and Bruno
looking forward to seeing you both soon
