Nicola

Nicola is still in the high dependency unit as she has had difficulty with her breathing. We went to see her yesterday and she was still her irrepressible self, despite being on a powerful assisted oxygen mask that covered most of her face. When I phoned this morning they said that she that she had had a good night and her breathing is improving, so that has cheered us up.

The surgeon said the operation went well although they are still puzzled as to whether it is a new primary cancer in her ovaries which would be highly unusual or a secondary from her colon cancer that has got into her ovaries which would also be highly unusual. We have to wait for a week for the lab results before this mystery is unveiled. They removed as much of the tumour as they could and her ovaries ( which the surgeon said she probably would not need again!!) but did not have to remove any more of her bowel so overall this seems to be fairly good news.

Thanks so much for your continued prayers, we are feeling very sustained.

Love,

Phil
