Nicola's News
Hi Friends,I write this on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon, what glorious autumn weather we are having. We have made the most of it this week and went to visit Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill. It is in lovely gardens with beautiful views over the Kent countryside. Yesterday we took Abigail back to Canterbury and while we were there visited the cathedral and went to choral evensong, another lovely experience.
I saw the cardiologist this week and had an ECG and echocardiogram (ultra sound scan of the heart). Everything looks fine now and he is happy for me to continue with chemotherapy. I am going to go on another clinical trial which I am happy about as it does make me feel as if I am doing something useful. I'll have some blood tests tomorrow and then should find out which branch of the trial I am on. Like last time it a randomised study so neither I nor my consultant chooses the treatment, I could be part of the control group on the standard treatment or have one of two new drugs. Please pray that I will be allocated to the right one for me.
This morning God spoke to me very powerfully through this verse, I am claiming it as his promise to me over the next few weeks :
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Many blessings,
Nicola
