Update on Nicola
Dear all,Nicola has had a very rough few days. She is still being sick after she eats and she has been in considerable pain from her shoulder and her operation. She had radiotherapy for her shoulder on Tuesday and they did warn us that it would get worse before it got better and they were not wrong. We are learning that pain control is not that simple. Nicola needs to start eating but she also needs morphine for her pain and morphine makes her sick and she finds it so hard to eat when she is nauseous. Nicola's nights have also been very disturbed and so on top of everything else she is totally exhausted. Please pray for a reduction in the pain which will mean less need for morphine and less nausea, we hope.
We are so grateful that you are with us in all of this. God is good and so are you!
Nicola's mother arrived yesterday and our eldest daughter Rebekah arrives from uni today and Nicola's two sisters are coming this weekend, all of which will make Nicola very happy. We were all hoping that Nicola would be home by Mothers day but we will just transport home to ward 7 North instead.
Much love to you all,
Phil

Please remind Nicola of our love and prayers - and as Mothering Sunday arrives, a true thanks for being such a motherly influence in our lives over the last ten years. Each time with her has been a time of refreshing and reviving. However on the other end of it all, time with Commissioner Brengle Phil has been about hair grooming and other interesting stuff. Looking forward to living closer very soon......
Phil,
I have at last managed to gain access to the internet again here in Spain. We are so sorry to read of the problems Nicola is facing. We know that in the love of our Heavenly Father both of you face up to these things so well but realise the strain you are under. Please be assured of our continuing prayers. God bless you both.
Graeme and Gwyneth
