Update on Nicola
Dear all,Nicola has had her operation and it was a success and so she is on the first step towards the chocolate brownies she has been dreaming of. Abigail, Hannah, Sam and I have been at the hospital since 10am this morning and sat with Nicola until she went to theatre which was not until 3.45pm. We had been told that she would most likely go to theatre before lunch, so the afternoon was a bit scary as we began to think that the op would be put off yet again. When they eventually came we waved her off into the lift and she was so happy that the moment had at last arrived after all these weeks of uncertainty. We then had to wait until 7.45pm for her to come on to the ward. She is in the critical care unit, but we were able to see her briefly and she was still smiling and able to talk to us. It has been a very long day but we are so grateful that all is going well so far.

I have just managed to gain access to your blog from southern Spain. We are so pleased that Nicky has been able to have the operation. Thank you for this news. We continie to uphold you in our daily devotions and will try again as we move around to gain access to your blog. Our love to you and to Nicky and of course to the family.
