Update on Nicola

Dear friends,
I phoned the hospital this morning and was able to speak to Nicola. She seems to be on good form and is as positive as ever. She is still in intensive care but is going to ask when she can be moved to a normal ward when the doctors do their round.

Abigail and I visited Nicola yesterday and was quite intimidated by the feel of the space age, high tech IC ward until we spotted a brightly smiling Nicola waving at us and then we realised that it was a lovely place to be because she was there. The man next to Nicola spent nearly the whole time we were there groaning loudly, which was sending me crazy after about 10 minutes. Nicola however had put up with it all day and all night and seemed not to be phased at all, I just do not know how she does it. ( unless of course it is the grace of God and all the prayers of our amazing friends and family!)

We do in fact constantly experience little intimations of God's grace and loving care. While Nicola was in the recovery ward just after her op, she was in considerable pain waiting for the morphine pump to be fitted, when the sister came over to her and started praying a beautiful prayer for her healing.

Thanks so much for your continued support and prayers,

Love,

Phil
