Update on Nicola
Dear friends,Nicola is enjoying having a room to herself and we have even managed to make the tv work on some channels. It was a fairly difficult day yesterday, Nicola was sick several times and the pain control was a problem for a while. She is also very tired as she is not managing to have a proper nights sleep because drips etc are changed throughout the night.
When I phoned this morning she seemed a bit brighter and the surgical registrar had been to see her and said he thought she might be home in 7 to 10 days which cheered her up. We are hoping that Nicola will have radiotherapy on her shoulders today and that should help with the pain. They are pleased with her progress and everything seems to be working as it should, but it will be a while before she can eat and drink normally.
Thanks so much for your continued prayers.
Love,
Phil
