Please Pray!
It has been a roller coaster few days in the Garnham family and I never did like roller coasters one bit.Nicola has been on fluids only since last Wednesday when they decided at the last minute not to operate. She has felt very bloated even on this minimal diet but the surgeon is still not keen to operate, because Nicola is not in pain. Our big challenge now is that they will not let her have chemo until she can take solids and the clinical trial she is on is very strict as far as missing weekly sessions is concerned. Nicola has mssed two sessions so far and if she misses four in a row she will no longer be able to continue to be on the trial which means the latest and very expensive cancer drugs will no longer be available to her because the NHS has not yet approved them.
This then, is why we are desperate that in the next day or two Nicola will be able take light solids and that she will not be sick or feel too full all the time. We would be most grateful if you could join us in praying this through so that Nicola not only gains strength and begins to enjoy her food, but that she may be able to continue on the clinical trial.
We are trusting the Lord in all this and we do know his peace but it can still be a bit scary at times. Nicola as always is calm, positive and is keeping her family going by being her lovely cheerful self.
With much love and gratitude,
Phil
