Update 14th November
A message from Nicola:Hi all you lovely people who have been praying for us. It's great to feel well enough to be able to edit the blog myself now, many thanks to Russ Luscombe for his help with the blog over the last three weeks.
I am continuing to make really good progress and am now able to get out and about more. It was great to be able to go to part of the Raynes Park retreat last Saturday and to be with the church family on Sunday. I still need to go home for a nap in the afternoon though!
Today Philip and I went to see the research nurse from Charing Cross Hospital to talk a bit more about the chemotherapy. I need to go for another CT scan on Thursday then all being well the chemo is going to start week beginning 27th November. On the first occasion I will need to go up to Charing Cross for three consecutive days, but won't have to stay in overnight so Sam is very happy about that.
We have been overwhelmed by the love, prayers and practical support that have come our way. We all want to say a huge thank you to our family, our friends and colleagues and to Raynes Park Community Church for all that you have done and are continuing to do.
I have always known that I have a wonderful family, now I have proved it beyond doubt.
I have always known that it is a wonderful thing to be part of the church, now I have proved it beyond doubt.
I have always known that God is faithful, these last few scary weeks have given me the opportunity to prove that beyond doubt.
With love,
Nicki
